Hey all, I'm having difficulty trying to get the above working. The Baeyens plugin v2 installed no issues. I downloaded the latest teensyduino and that does not recognize my arduino 1.5.2 as the proper directory. The file decompresses into a folder named 'teensy'. Once you've done that you should be able to generate your own project If you've not worked with the Arduino Eclipse Plugin before I'd suggest you start with a Teensy2 blink.ino sketch. Will download and get that going. My T3's are on their way and I'll tackle that one in due course. I see there are good references on the forum to that setup and I've done a bit on the Maple boards, so that shouldn't present too many problems. Thanks again guys, appreciate. I know that thread. If you've used Eclipse for a good while and are very familiar with it, that may work. However, I had simply gotten a little frustrated with Arduino IDE and had never used Eclipse before.

Paul has already indicated that it will be a while before Tensyduino will be compatible with the Arduino 1.5.x IDE but. When that happens installation instructions may almost be superfluous. Ok, I now have a working Eclipse / Teensy environment (albeit only for the 2 at this stage). Headroom's effort answers to later versions and would probably be a better bet.

I'll setup a separate environment following his instructions as well. There are still a few minor quirks on my setup but I'll keep on battling that until I get it working properly. The only issue I have is with parameters for the Teensy Loader. It runs on build but I still have to hit reset to get it to load.

Maybe Paul can shed some light on this. This has to do with calling the loader from within Eclipse.

All I do at the mo is add a command to the post-build step, calling teensypostcompile with params it wants. Like I say, it works with a small inconvenience, but it's still really worth it given the environment I now have to work in. I used for mine, with adjustments. I'm on a Linux box and there wasn't much to change, mainly paths to Teensy stuff. I've never owned an Arduino board and was only interested in Paul's stuff anyway (proven, repeatable and reliable). Headroom, haven't looked at yours yet but there may be some pointers in there for you as well.

Hi stevch, Have you tried the link I provided in my last post? Also, I'm sure that between headroom's and my links you should be able to get something going. Headroom's link includes the T3, which mine does not.

Do you need for the T3 as well? I should have my T3 boards very soon and will look at that as well. I'll also run the 2 installs on my Win7 (x64) and see how that goes if I get time later today, hopefully before you wake.

The only thing is that my Win7 is a virtual (VMWare) box. I guess the only 'issues' should therefore be with drivers which I won't be able to confirm working. I've had another ARM dev environment working before (Maple), so it shouldn't (hopefully) present too many problems. Let's see what we can do! I'll post the install for a Linux, Eclipse Juno, Arduino 1.0.5 and Teensy (1 & 2) Development Environment as well within the next few days if anyone's interested.

I'll also look at the Arduino 1.5.2 and see how that goes. Although, again - my interest is purely in Teensys. I may be missing the point (or a bunch of 'em!) here, but it seems to me that the main 'issues' with Eclipse come down to pointing things to the correct places. And there are many, many places! And, of course, it's a pain in the butt, but once setup I've found it to have been well worth the initial effort.

I've never owned an Arduino board, only Teensys, so this will be aimed at Teensy users only. I have no interest in owning an Arduino board for the foreseeable future. Not that anything's wrong with them, just Teensy's are better for my specific requirements IMHO.

I've read those. But am reluctant since it involves use of beta versions of Arduino and maybe T3.

I'll wait until you guys say - here, do this (Win 7, 64 bit) - it's easy. I have so many irons in the fire, work and hobby, I can't risk a long side trip! I too have only T2 and T3 boards.

In the other IDEs, one just right-clicks on an open file and add-to-project. Open file displays in the editor, but does not add it to the project for builds.
